Installing Kubuntu Linux 7.04 Feisty i386 on Acer Aspire 3003WLCi

This laptop is operating under Kernel version 2.6.20-15-generic

Basic Installation of Kubuntu Feisty:

Installation is quick and straightforward. Burn the ISO CD image and boot up the LiveCD. Graphical installer walks the user through the process.
My disk is partitioned into Linux swap, OS files (/root), and user data (/data). Multiple partitions facilitates simple sharing between other OS partitions.

Setting up Wireless on Kubuntu Feisty:

The wireless card is easy to enable via ndiswrapper. Please consult the following resources to download the pre-packaged script with self-installer:

Network Manager doesn't play well with this wireless card. I uninstalled NM and Wifi-radar works great.

Commonly used software:

The following software packages run very well on Kubuntu. Because Linux manages memory so well, many can be run simultaneously even with only 512MB of RAM:
Azureus BitTorrent client
Firefox web browser
Gaim instant messenger
KCalc
Amarok with MySQL
Eclipse IDE
Sun Java 6 JRE 1.6.00
