View Full Version : Mandriva LE2005 on ASUS A6VC hazlehead 10-13-2005, 01:12 AM I've installed Mandriva Linux LE2005 (download version) on an ASUS A6VC B011H (Intel PM740 centrino) with no problem (yet) except a squeaky noise or whistling (a bit like the data tape player of an old Amstrad...) between two hd access. It is not a hardware problem as it is really silent when used with windows. I've unsuccessfully searched the web and forums and have no idea on the problem as it is the first time ever I'm using Linux. Can anyone help here ? Thanks I have the same laptop, I've insatalled a Mandriva to, I havent this problem of noise but I have no sound...Can you help me? Unregistered 11-23-2005, 07:28 AM I,v installed the 2005 version.
