Just short of a fatality, i'm all new and all to Linux, and thought it would be a good idea to load Linux onto my old Toshiba Tecra, its a 510CDT model with an internal cd and external floppy. This is not my main problem, as the bios has been changed in such a way that i cannot change it (I.E. more than once) so, is it possible for me to get help in installing linux, from what i have seen it's possible with slackware 9.1, i'm computer literate and not afraid to break the machine, it's just i want to know if there is any hope in resurecting it.

any aid is very welcome...
