After picking the installation type, I get the message:
No Drives Found -- an error has occurred - no valid devices were found on which to create new file systems..........
I assume this is a driver problem since the laptop is newer than the installation type. Help anyone??

Suggest trying a different distro, such as Mepis, Kanotix, FC5 or Suse

Some Toshiba have SATA drives and this can be a problem if they are not recognized.

You can try some boot cheatcodes such as rootdelay=10

Thanks for the tips Mike, choosing another distro isn't an option since I am doing this in order prepare for a customer site. I'll look into the boot code. The drive is an IDE.
