I have a big problem with running Suse Linux 9.3 on my Acer laptop. When I`m in the boot menu of the Linux DVD and want to select Installation with the "Down Key" the laptop stocks immedeatly. The same reaction shows the PC by pushing any other keys (for example F1 for help). Very thanks for any help in this case!

My first reaction would be a keymap related problem. Are you using US English keyboard and software or something else? This might be solved by passing the kernel some boot time args, before you ever get to the installation GUI.
