I think it will be just fine at running Linux. Dell has a decent track record (IMO) of using pretty standard hardware. Are you going to dual-boot? I would recommend getting a larger drive. 40 gigs will be pretty small. Is there a reason that you are using XP Pro? It is a $150.00 upgrade and depending on what you are doing it may not be worth it. I would see if you could use Home and then upgrade your harddrive instead. |
