I have loaded Red Hat Es 4 I am looking for Sound drivers and a point to point walk throught on how to successfully install them. I have tried the drivers. lib, util 1.0.14rc3 from the alsa project and can't get them to work. all help would be greatly appreciated.

I can not find on DELL web site what kind of sound card you have there. Can you place here a list from #lspci ?
