Hi guys,
I recently bought a dell 9400 laptop with an intel dual core at 2.16Ghz with 2Gb of ram. I have been using redahat 9 for a while and tried installing it on the laptop. Resutls:- the machine didnt even perform better then my destok with a P3 at 1Ghz with 256 Mb ram :( . The reason i still use redhat 9 is that most of my apps need kernel 2.4 none of them work on kernel 2.6. I tried installing suse10 on the laptop n it was pretty good but my apps dont work. Could someone recomend a distro of linux(version number) which has the latest 2.4 kernel version which will work 'like' suse 10 on my laptop :D .
