Just wanted to post a tip for anyone trying to install NLD9 on a Sony Vaio PCG-F270.

When the first screen comes up move to the second option installation. On the line type in:

*apm=off no-hlt acpi=off*

The hit return. You shouldn't have a problem with the installation after that.

Once the installation is finished go to Yast and under boot loader configuration add the same line to the first line that is there.
