Watcha say about this laptop? I wanna run linux in 64-bit mode on it.
Should I just buy an Intel based notebook and run linux in 32-bit mode?

Try a 32-bit distro such as Mepis first
leave some empty partitions for a 64-bit install of Kanotix -- you'll want to try that

This laptop seems nice -- personally I recommend HP

No reason to buy Intel if you are interested in 64-bit -- you can easily install both 32 and 64 bit distros
