Do you know a distro linux work fine on asus a7db?
I have tried kubuntu 5.1 x64 but doesn't work and mandriva 2006 x64 doesn't work too!

Do these distros don't install at all or something doesn't work after they get installed?

Did you try booting up with Knoppix? If yes, send the output of lspci command.

Send as many details as possible, so someone can actually help you.

yes!these distros don't install at all!
for knoppix i received this error or better the install stop here! see a pic.!
what can i do?

I always suggest Mepis -- it recognizes hardware well.

You can also try Kanotix, but the installer is rather rudimentary.

If you have problems try GRUB boot parameters such as acpi=off xdrvr=vesa

It's guesswork to figure out which GRUB parameters to use when you have these problems
