Hi,

I love the Sony S48gp and got it as a present but I am unable to install linux on it. I tried Mandrake and Ubuntu 5.04.

the main issue is linux is unable to tetect the hard Disk. Would appreciate if any one has any ideas.

Did you try booting with knoppix to see if the hard disk can indeed be seen?
